1. Your First Annotation
After installing the extension, visit any webpage and select some text. You’ll see the Annote button appear. Click it to create your first highlight or note.
Types of Annotations
- Highlights: Quick markers for important passages

- Tags: Organize by topic or project
2. Organizing Your Notes
Collections
Group related notes together:
- Open the Annote dashboard
- Click “New Collection”
- Drag notes into collections
Search

- Use boolean operators for advanced queries
Graph View
Visualize connections between your notes:
- Click the graph icon in the dashboard
- Zoom and pan to explore relationships
- Click any node to jump to that note

- Open a note

Backlinks
See what links to the current note:
- Every note shows its backlinks automatically
- Click to navigate between connected ideas
AI Suggestions
Let Annote suggest connections:

Summarization
Get quick summaries of long articles:
- Click “Summarize” on any annotation
