Quick Start

Get started with Annote in under 60 seconds. No sign-up required to try it out.

1. Install the Extension

Install from the Chrome Web Store. Works in Chrome and Chromium-based browsers like Arc, Edge, and Brave.

2. Pin the Extension

After installation, click the puzzle piece icon in your browser’s toolbar and pin Annote for easy access.

3. Make Your First Annotation

1. Navigate to any webpage
2. Select some text
3. Press A, or click the Annote button that appears
4. Add your note or highlight

That’s it! You can start annotating immediately without signing in. Your notes will be saved locally.

Tip: Sign in later to sync your notes across devices and unlock AI features.
