Firefox Installation

Install from Firefox Add-ons

1. Visit the Annote Firefox Add-ons page
2. Click “Add to Firefox”
3. Click “Add” in the popup
4. Wait for the installation to complete

Pin the Extension

1. Right-click the Annote icon in your toolbar
2. Select “Pin to Toolbar” to keep it visible

Firefox-Specific Features

Private Browsing

To use Annote in private browsing:

1. Go to about:addons
2. Find Annote
3. Click “Details”
4. Enable “Run in Private Windows”

Container Tabs

Annote works seamlessly with Firefox Container Tabs. Each container maintains its own annotation context.

Permissions Explained

Annote requests the following permissions:

• Access your data for all websites: Required to annotate any webpage
• Store unlimited amount of client-side data: To save your notes locally

Troubleshooting

Extension icon not visible

Check if the extension is enabled at about:addons

Performance issues

If Firefox feels slow with Annote:

1. Check if you have other annotation extensions installed
2. Clear your browser cache
